Well the bike is back together and serviced and ready to roll on.. Me on the other hand is questionable, not mentality but physically. I am black and blue o. Numerous places and really stiff, hopefully I can ride it out today. The plan is to meet a gentleman who is riding for charity in Oark, then I believe on to Fayetville Arkansas.. Peace.
So today was a lucky day:
Today started out like the last 3 with a early departure and a smile on my face. The first 125 miles were really uneventful but really pretty hitting the Ozarks. On the last leg of my ride I came upon a off camber right while going downhill. Nothing different from a thousand other corners, oh it was dirt and gravel. I took the corner standing up at about 30mph and the bike pushed out wide, but still on the path. I took a quick look ahead of me and a 5ft round washout, so the bike and I both flipped into mid
air, I landed on my head and back while the bike flipped down a steep embankment only to be stopped by 2 trees. Luckily the were there for the bike would have ended up about 50 feet below me.. A nice gentleman named Nathan stopped and we slowly pull my bike up with his car. Here’s a few pics of the havoc that happened.. Peace
Arkansas::
800 + miles in 3 days:
So I went ahead and did anothe 90 miles of tomorrow’s route, so I could justify getting a cheap, I mean real cheap hotel in Bebee , Arkansas.. Today was really tiring and super hot.. I can’t seem to hydrate enough!!! Any suggestion please help. Plus having the room will allow me to address some raw concerns.. Mainly my but!! Off to eat Waffle House and buy some Monkey Butt powder.. Later
New wheels.. Bling bling:
It’s bloody hot:
It’s a beautiful morning:
Its been a really nice and productive morning so far.. I slept pretty well for how sore I am and anxious about the coming days. Had some time this morning to do some quick maintinence like oil, chain, grease fittings and such.. Everything checks out really good so far. Today on the maps it looks like this section is only about 120 miles into Arkansas. I might make it a sub 200 mile day so I can rest. If anyone has time and willing look for “FREE” campsite near Marvell, ark for me. Chat again soon.
My day in a few pics;
Xt225 fuel mileage:
So far today the little 225 serow is averaging 84 miles to the gallon.. That is about 25 more than I predicted. Super hot but lots of fun so far.
